A Scientific Course Entitled “Fundamentals of AutoCAD Program” at Al-Hawija Technical Institute

“AutoCAD is a commercial computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software application. Developed and marketed by Autodesk. AutoCAD was first released in December 1982 as a desktop app running on microcomputers with internal graphics” AutoCAD Wikipedia. AutoCAD is used for 2D and 3D design. For the importance of the AutoCAD program and the need for using it, a scientific course has been organized by (Assistant Lecturer Qusay Kamel and Mr. Hassan Attia) to explain the fundamentals of AutoCAD Program. Both researchers have admitted the increasing users’ need for the program versus the lack of their skills. AutoCAD is using in all areas of design such as fashion design, civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering, and interior design. In addition, it can be used to design most of the projects and transforming your design into reality. Furthermore, some of AutoCAD’s extensions such as Render Program that can be used to conduct some experiments on the design, such as the selection of colors, lights, and the preview of spaces in the architectural field. Also, some of its accessories can work for mechanical designs and try some tests on them. Last but not least, The Dean commended the efforts of the researchers and the participants in this scientific course.
